JAWBREAKER SIGILS

When my younger brother and I were very little, our parents bought us giant jawbreaker candies at an amusement park. We eagerly licked those behemoth wads of sugar every day till our mouths were raw and our tongues were bleeding.  Layer by layer we were amazed by the colors each sugary layer produced as we worked our way through the pain to uncover the mystery that resided in their colorful cores. 
Jawbreaker Sigils is the beginning of an exploration unearthing the most basic earliest shapes, textures, and colors that shaped my childhood. Most of us cannot remember specific events or accounts before a certain age but retain a mental rolodex of sensory memories that we can recall whenever encountering objects, sounds or colors throughout the later years in our life. The magic lies in the surprise the moment we feel that sensation of joy again.
